Admission Requirements

Canadian College Kuwait’s Admissions’ eligibility requirements comply with the Kuwait Private Universities Council’s (PUC’s) General Rules and Regulations.

Admission to Canadian College Kuwait

To be considered for admission to AC-Kuwait, an applicant must submit all of the following:

  • A Kuwait Secondary School Certificate or equivalent, endorsed by the Ministry of Education in Kuwait (MOE). Applicants who have graduated from non-government, non-Arabic or any foreign or overseas high school, must provide a Kuwaiti High School equivalency certificate issued by the Ministry of Education – Private Education Department.
  • A valid Kuwaiti Civil ID
  • Valid residency (for expatriates) or valid security clearance card (for stateless residents)

All applicants to Canadian College Kuwait undergo an assessment of their English Language skills. Canadian College Kuwait also accepts internet-based TOEFL or Academic IELTS as proof of English language proficiency. Based on the results of this assessment, each student is either offered direct admission into one of Canadian College Kuwait’s Diploma Programs or into our comprehensive English and Academic Foundations Program.

Admission to Specific Canadian College Kuwait Programs

Canadian College Kuwait’s Program eligibility requirements are also governed by PUC’s General Rules and Regulations, in particular for PUC Scholarship holders.

Eligibility requirements vary from program to program and are approved for each diploma and degree program by the College Board of Trustees as per the recommendation of the Registrar’s office and the relevant academic department.

Progression to 2+2 Degree Programs

To follow Canadian College Kuwait’s unique “2+2” degree completion pathway and gain admission to a Canadian College Kuwait Degree program, Canadian College Kuwait Diploma graduates must meet or surpass the following minimum Graduating Grade Point Average requirements:

For CCK Graduates

  • Self-Funding Students – a Graduating GPA of 2.0 is required
  • PUC Scholarship Students – a Graduating GPA of 3.0 is required (in order to gain admission to the Degree Program and continue to be eligible for a PUC Scholarship)
